Dr Felicity Hartmann

Dr Felicity Hartnell BSc, MBBS, DPhil (Oxon.) Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist.

Felicity graduated from medicine at the University of Queensland in 2011 and completed specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, having trained at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Royal Women’s and Brisbane Hospital (RBWH) and Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH).

During her training she completed a PhD at the University of Oxford (UK) where she gained experience in clinical trials and Immunology based laboratory work in viral hepatology. She has presented her research at local, national and international conferences and published her work in peer review journals.

Felicity has a passion for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and is accredited in intestinal ultrasound (IUS) with GENIUS (Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal US). She also has a keen interest in general Hepatology, endoscopy and colonoscopy and general Gastroenterology.

She holds a staff specialist position at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and has endoscopy lists at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH) and Sunshine Coast Day Surgery. She will also play an active role in clinical trials at CDH Research Institute and also has a public appointment as a consultant Gastroenterologist at SCUH.

When not working Felicity loves spending time with her husband and two young daughters and enjoys outdoor exercise, in particular ocean swimming and triathlons.
